A Quick View of the Attic
Paul decided to tackle the attic this past week. There are parts of it completely open due to rotten wood and you can wave to the neighbors. We’ve needed to get up there for some time to close it up and seal it from passer-bys, rain and any more forest friends visiting (yes, we’ve had a few, lol) as well as wasps. We’ve done some quick work up there but the major overhaul we knew would take time.
There was so much up there and we had so many other tasks going on, but now that he had the time, so he leaned in and did a fantastic job. There were old crates, boxes, tupperwares, croquet sets, mattresses, a wooden ironing board, a wooden folding lawn chair, music stands, school year books, and on and on. Not to mention years or dust and presents from our forest friends. :-/
But after 3 days of clean up, hauling it down, Paul did it! We still need to go through the wooden crates in more detail but this is vastly different than what it was! And you still feel clean after you walk through it. There’s so much more room.
There’s so much room up there now! You can walk around easily!

Wow looks great !!
Hi Debi & Paul, I’ve not checked in here for several weeks but I’m continually amazed at your progress. The beautiful old house is getting the loving care it deserves. What a brilliant idea to write this blog. If you ever do decide to sell(when you are old and gray,) this blog will be a godsend to potential buyers. The work you two are doing is simply invaluable.
I hope to be able to come see for myself one of these days.
Thank you Peggy! It’s a labor or love, that’s for sure. We would love to have you and the family come visit sometime!
